Despite ongoing speculation linking Andre Onana with Manchester United, no official offer has been presented to Inter Milan, leaving the 27-year-old goalkeeper awaiting concrete interest from the Red Devils.
According to the latest report from La Gazzetta Dello Sport, United is considering Onana as a potential reinforcement for the goalkeeping position.
However, in England, there are indications that cheaper alternatives like Bijlow and Trapp are also under consideration.
Onana, a former Eredivisie star, currently earns a salary of three million euros per season with Inter Milan.
Reportedly, his representatives have engaged in discussions with Manchester United, seeking to negotiate a doubling of his wages to 6 million euros per season,
equivalent to around £99,000 per week, in the event of a move to Old Trafford.
In terms of the asking fee, there appears to be a slight disparity in valuation. Inter Milan values their prized asset at 60 million euros (£52 million),
while Manchester United is reportedly prepared to offer over £43 million, inclusive of add-ons.
Despite the valuation differences, no official bid has been made by the Red Devils, and reports suggest that Inter Milan is open to meeting halfway to facilitate a potential deal.
In anticipation of Onana’s potential departure, Inter Milan is reportedly already making preparations and eyeing Ukrainian international Anatoliy Trubin.
As the transfer saga unfolds, we will continue to monitor developments and provide updates.
