Recent developments suggest that the situation with Raphaël Varane at Manchester United is intensifying, as reported by Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.

According to Plettenberg, there is an awareness within Manchester United that Varane is discontent with his current situation at the club.

Intriguingly, Plettenberg reveals that Varane has been given the ‘green light’ for a potential transfer in the upcoming winter window, but the condition is that it won’t be a loan move.

Manchester United’s stance is clear – they are inclined to sell Varane, and they have set an estimated value of €20-30 million for the deal to go through.

The report also sheds light on Bayern Munich’s perspective on the matter.

Despite previous indications of interest in the former French international, Bayern Munich is said to be ‘monitoring’ the situation closely as they consider defensive reinforcements in the January transfer window.

Varane, who was a consistent presence for Manchester United in the past, has seen limited playing time recently, starting only one of the last six Premier League games, a 1-0 loss against Crystal Palace.
