Man United’s Interest in Serhou Guirassy Reignited
During the January transfer window, Manchester United expressed interest in Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy, and with recent developments concerning the striker, the Red Devils may revisit their pursuit in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Erik ten Hag, United’s manager, is keen on bolstering the team’s forward line, especially considering the pressure on summer signing Rasmus Hojlund to deliver goals. While Hojlund has shown promise recently, the addition of another quality forward is deemed necessary.
Sky Sports previously reported in December, just before the January transfer window, that Manchester United had their eyes on Guirassy due to his enticing release clause.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the €17.5 million release clause remains intact for the summer, attracting interest from several Premier League clubs.
Guirassy has been in sensational form this season for Stuttgart, finding the net 19 times in just 16 appearances, earning himself a reputation as a prolific striker.
Bringing Guirassy into Ten Hag’s squad could provide valuable support to Hojlund and offer the young Danish star the opportunity to further develop into a top-tier striker.
However, Manchester United may encounter competition for Guirassy’s signature, with clubs like West Ham also monitoring the Guinea international’s situation closely.
