Amidst the fallout from Cristiano Ronaldo’s controversial Talk TV interview with Piers Morgan in November 2022, where he openly criticized Manchester United, manager Erik ten Hag, and the Glazer family, one of the players praised by Ronaldo as a “top professional” is now on the verge of leaving the club.

In the interview, Ronaldo singled out three players for their professionalism during his second stint at Old Trafford. One of them was Diogo Dalot, whom Ronaldo lauded for his youth, intelligence, and professionalism, predicting a bright future in football for the young talent.

Surprisingly, another player mentioned by Ronaldo, Casemiro, is now poised to depart United just 18 months after joining the club. According to reports from the Mail Online, Ronaldo’s current team Al Nassr has shown interest in signing the Brazilian midfielder.

Al Nassr’s pursuit of Casemiro has prompted Manchester United’s football director, John Murtough, to travel to Saudi Arabia to explore the possibility of a transfer. The Saudi Pro League side is reportedly prepared to make a substantial offer for Casemiro, who commands a hefty weekly wage of over £375,000 at United.

Additionally, Al Nassr is also reportedly interested in United’s right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with a previous bid for Tottenham’s Emerson Royal having been rejected. United is expected to seek a significant fee for both players, aiming to recoup some of the £70 million spent on acquiring Casemiro.

The Mail further notes that Ronaldo has advocated for Casemiro’s recruitment by his current club, emphasizing the Brazilian’s value and suitability for the team.
